How we met:

We met at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston, where we both work. After college, Tara moved up to Boston to start work for PwC and was put onto one of Nick's clients. We worked together for two and a half years, but didn't start dating until Tara was moving down to New York City. We did the "long distance" thing, with trips back and forth between NY and Boston almost every weekend, and after a year, decided that we wanted to be back in the same city together. It made more sense for Tara to move back up to Boston, so she transferred with PwC again and we got an apartment together in the South End. A few weeks later, Nick proposed.

How he proposed:

We were down in Narragansett, RI for a cook-out at Nick's family's house over Memorial Day weekend. Tara had been begging that they get ice cream all day. Finally, as everyone was leaving the cook-out, Nick asked if Tara wanted to get some ice cream down at the beach. We drove down to Narragansett Beach, got our ice cream and walked down to sit on the wall near the water. As we were finishing our ice cream, Nick pulled the ring out of his pocket.
